Help & Support

How can we help?

Support for Grounded: Screen Time Blocker. We're a small team and we read every message - if something's not working or you just have a question, reach out and we'll get you sorted.

Contact us

Email us at teampair.ai@gmail.com and we'll usually reply within 1-2 business days. To help us help you faster, let us know your iOS version and a quick description of what happened (a screenshot never hurts). Please don't send passwords, Apple ID credentials, or payment details.

Developer: Pair Labs, Australia.

Before you email

A lot of the common questions - how limits work, what happens when you hit one, how Guardian approvals work, and how privacy is handled - are answered on our FAQ. Worth a quick look; you might get your answer instantly.

Managing or cancelling your subscription

Grounded Premium is billed through your Apple Account, so it's managed in iOS Settings, not inside the app:

  • Open Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Grounded.
  • From there you can change plan or cancel. Cancelling stops future renewals; Premium stays active until the end of the current billing period, and your free features remain yours.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

For a linked pair, only one person needs to subscribe - one Premium subscription covers both of you.

Restoring a purchase

Switched or reset your device and Premium isn't showing? Open Grounded → Profile and use Restore Purchases, making sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you subscribed with.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account any time from inside the app: Profile → Delete Account. This signs you out, dissolves any active Guardian pair (which may notify your partner), removes local data from your device, and schedules your account records for permanent deletion after 30 days. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Screen Time permissions aren't working

Grounded relies on Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) permission to block apps. If limits stop enforcing, it's almost always the permission:

  • Check Settings → Screen Time is turned on for this device.
  • If you previously declined the Grounded permission prompt, re-grant it from the app's onboarding or Profile.
  • Seeing an app block before you hit its limit? Screen Time counts your combined usage across every device signed into the same Apple ID when "Share Across Devices" is on. Turn it off in Settings → Screen Time → Share Across Devices if you want each device counted separately.

Pairing with a Guardian

To link with a Guardian, one person generates an invite code and the other redeems it - during onboarding or later from Profile. Invite codes expire after 24 hours, and generating a new code cancels any earlier one. If a code won't redeem, generate a fresh one and try again. Unlinking is available in the app and notifies the other person.

Report abuse or safety concerns

Guardian mode is for trusted, mutual accountability. If someone uses Grounded to harass, pressure, or abuse you, unpair in the app and contact us. Include enough detail for us to understand the issue, but avoid sending unnecessary personal information.

Privacy & your data

Your actual app-usage data is processed on your device by Apple's Screen Time framework and never leaves it. For what we do and don't collect, see our Privacy Policy. To request access to or deletion of your data, email us at teampair.ai@gmail.com.
